X Carbon and GEIH Partner to Develop Biomass Waste Carbon Credit Projects

On December 16, 2024, X Carbon signed a groundbreaking agreement with Green Energy Investment Holding Private Limited (GEIH) to jointly develop carbon credit projects in biomass waste utilization. This collaboration aligns with Verra and other carbon credit mechanisms, focusing on converting biomass waste into sustainable products that contribute to carbon reduction and circular economy goals.

The project emphasizes the following key activities:

  1. Biochar Production: Converting biomass waste into biochar for soil and non-soil applications that meet relevant sustainability criteria.

  2. Bio-Oil Production: Utilizing biomass waste as feedstock to produce bio-oil, a sustainable alternative to conventional fuels.

  3. Biofuel Generation: Supporting the production of biofuels to replace fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Green Energy Investment Holding (GEIH) is a Singapore-based company dedicated to clean energy solutions. The company specializes in innovative technologies to maximize the value of biomass waste, turning it into environmentally friendly energy products such as biochar, bio-oil, and biofuels. GEIH’s commitment to reducing carbon footprints aligns perfectly with X Carbon’s mission to drive high-integrity carbon credit development.

This partnership will not only quantify and validate carbon reductions from biomass waste management but also establish a robust methodology to meet global carbon credit standards, such as Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). By leveraging GEIH’s expertise in biomass energy solutions and X Carbon’s leadership in carbon asset development, this initiative sets a benchmark for sustainable carbon credit projects.

The collaboration reflects both companies' shared vision to accelerate the global transition toward clean energy and promote innovations in carbon reduction, providing scalable solutions for the decarbonization of industries.
