From October 13 to 21, our team conducted a series of engagements with 35 communities across Mount Hagen, Wewak, and surrounding regions to advance a new stove project aimed at benefiting an estimated 20,000 households.

These discussions focused on introducing energy-efficient, eco-friendly cooking solutions to address challenges such as indoor air pollution and unsustainable energy practices. In collaboration with local leaders and residents, the team gathered valuable feedback on community needs and priorities, ensuring the project aligns with the unique circumstances of each area.

Additionally, preliminary surveys were carried out to assess current cooking methods, energy consumption patterns, and interest levels in the proposed solutions. The insights gained will guide the next steps, including pilot implementation and training programs.

This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering sustainable development and improving quality of life for families in Papua New Guinea. We look forward to the continued collaboration with these communities to make this vision a reality.
